Ambassador Eldar Hasanov presents his Letters of Credence to the Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina
In January 27, 2011 Ambassador Eldar Hasanov presented his Letters of Credence to H.E. Mr. Nebojsa Radmanovic, Presidency Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After presentation ceremony Ambassador had private meeting with Presidency Chairman. Ambassador passed best regards of H.E. Mr.Ilham Aliyev to Mr. Radmanovic, expressing that Azerbaijan is strongly interested in developing relations with BaH in all spheres. Emphasizing the significance of bilateral cooperation within international organizations Mr.Hasanov stated that in pursuance to the instruction of H.E. Mr.Ilham Aliyev to exploit all existing opportunities to enhance friendship and partnership between two countries the Government of Azerbaijan has adopted a decision to appoint Ambassador in BaH, as well as, establish diplomatic office in Sarajevo.
Ambassador also briefed on aggression of Armenia against Azerbaijan adding that as a result of occupation of 20% territory of Azerbaijan and ethnic cleansing 1 million Azerbaijanis have become refugees and internally displaced people. Mentioning the endeavors of OSCE Minsk Group in conflict settlement, Ambassador underlined that Azerbaijan is hopeful in peaceful resolution of the conflict, while expressing his gratitude to BaH for its support of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
President Radmanovic thanked for valuable information delivered by Ambassador and wished success in his mission. He welcomed the decision of the Government of Azerbaijan to open a diplomatic office in BaH expressing his assurance that the office will highly contribute to enhancement of bilateral relations and cooperation. President emphasized that his country is in favor of peace since war has never brought benefits to nations. He also underscored the importance of mutual investments in view of enhancing economic relations adding that his country following a path to European integration is a favorable destination for foreign direct investments.
