OCCUPATION OF SHUSHA TO BE MARKED IN ROMANIA
The event to mark the 15th anniversary of the occupation of the Azerbaijani town of Shusha by the Armenians took place May 8 at the office of the Romania-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, Azerbaijan's embassy in Romania said.
Participants of the event were informed about the occupation of Shusha on May 8, 1992 by the Armenian armed forces, and paid respect to shahids.
Speakers told about atrocities committed by Armenians in Shusha, destruction of historical and cultural monuments and policy of ethnic cleansing.
Participants were clued up on the peace talks to settle the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh, non-constructive role of Armenia. It was noted that Azerbaijan is ready to liberate its native lands from the Armenian occupation.
