Meeting between the Azerbaijani and Romanian businesspersons was held October 11 at the Azerbaijan National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations (ASK).

        The Romanian delegation comprised of the Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Georgy Drogomirin, representatives of the Railway Administration, oil, building and transport companies.

        Addressing the guests, Chairman of the ASK A. Mammadov stressed the need to enhance the Azerbaijan-Romania economic ties. The representatives of both countries agreed to hold the Azerbaijan-Romania business forum in Romania, late November.

        The sides shared views on other issues of mutual concern.

        Transport Minister of Azerbaijan Ziya Mammadov met with Transport, Construction and Tourism Minister of Romania Radu Berceanu and his accompanying delegation to discuss transport cooperation between the two countries.

        The joint initiative was put forth at the meeting to create a working group of transport experts of Azerbaijan, Romania and Georgia to study transport relations development opportunities.
